As a professional planner, Mr. Ferrandino has served a myriad of clients in both the public and private sectors and has held positions of increasing responsibility at the municipal level.

As a private consultant and former Commissioner of Planning and Development for the City of Mount Vernon and the Town of Greenburgh, and City Planner for the City of Peekskill, NY, Mr. Ferrandino and the communities he has served have been recognized for many outstanding professional achievements in housing, planning and economic development by such organizations as the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the United States Department of Commerce, the American Planning Association and the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation. Having served in a variety of municipal leadership positions, Mr. Ferrandino brings a plethora of knowledge and experience to every project in which the firm is involved. He has overseen the construction or rehabilitation of over 5,000 dwelling units and several million square feet of office, industrial and shopping center space. Additionally, Mr. Ferrandino has directed numerous redevelopment projects, administered over $100 million in industrial revenue bond (IRB) and Urban Development Action Grant- financed (UDAG) projects, and prepared many area-wide and local economic development plans. On the other side of the spectrum, he has overseen the environmental review of some of the largest open space, institutional, residential and commercial projects in the region. This broad-based exposure enables him to bring special insight to the problems of local and regional development while maintaining a keen sensitivity to environmental oversight and land use regulation.

Mr. Ferrandino is an honors graduate of both St. John’s University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree with honors in political science and economics, and the Wagner School of New York University, where he obtained the Master of Urban Planning (MUP) degree and was a Relm Foundation Earhart Fellow. He also attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, the New York University (Schack) Real Estate Institute and the Milano Graduate School at New School University in New York City.

A noted expert in the field of planning, Mr. Ferrandino regularly provides testimony in planning and zoning cases, lectures at several professional seminars and graduate planning programs, and has been a member of the graduate faculty in planning and public administration at Pace University. Among his professional memberships are the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), the Institute for Urban Design (Fellow), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Council for Urban Economic Development (CUED). He is a past president of the Association of Westchester Community Development Officials.
